02Feb By Alex Panton FoundationPartners News Administrative Coordinator Wanted WHO WE AREThe Alex Panton Foundation is a Non-Profit Organisation with the primary objective of raising awareness of mental illnesses affecting children and young adults in the Cayman Islands with a particular focus on anxiety and depression.This Foundation has been established in memory of Alex Panton, who succumbed to the effects of severe depression at the age of 16.WHAT WE DOThe Alex Panton Foundation aims to provide hope and resources to friends, family, teachers, classmates and carers to help save the lives of children and young adults struggling with mental illness.Our Mission is to improve the mental health of children and young adults in the Cayman Islands through advocacy, awareness and support.Administrative Manager (New post)Full time (remote work)The Alex Panton Foundation (APF) is seeking a dynamic person to fill the position of Administrative Manager to lead and support our important organisation and its various programmes which support our mission.Job Responsibilities: This position will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the administration of the operations of the APF and coordinating the implementation and ongoing management of our programmes. The main responsibilities are summarised as follows:To provide support to the Board of Directors: work including coordinating meetings of the Board and sub committees and ensuring that all meetings are properly minuted/recorded.To provide oversight of the administrative and corporate function of the APF, including coordinating the establishment and maintenance of a business plan, policies and procedures and hiring and coaching staff to ensure our mission is effectively achieved.To provide oversight and management of current programmes and implementation of future programmes including liaising with stakeholders. Assessment of the functioning of the programmes. Reporting findings/needs to the Board. Propose ideas for their improvement and increased efficiency and effectiveness. Organise volunteers and other staff members to optimise functioning of programmess.To provide oversight and coordination of the financial management of the APF which includes preparation of formal budgets and presentations to donors and other stakeholders on the use of funds.To oversee the management of events to ensure broad coverage of the message of the event and optimising the contributions of the volunteer base.To provide oversight of public relations: ensuring there is a clear business and communications plan and regular communication with the Chair of the Communications subcommittee and the social media team, ensuring the message of the website and all responses to enquiries from the public are clear as to the services and the mandate of the APF.To be responsible for coordinating annual strategic meetings/retreat to ensure the APF is meeting its targets and fulfilling its objectives to meet the changing needs/expectations of the public.To be responsible for coordinating the production of a professional Annual Report for the benefit of key stakeholders within 3 months of financial year end.Full details of the job description may be obtained upon request.Job Qualification, Experience & SkillsA Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in humanities/social sciences or similar degree that demonstrates education in administration and strategic planning skills. A Masters degree would be preferred.At least 6 years’ experience in a supervisory position. Working in the medical field or the field of mental health would be an advantage.Prior working experience with a Non-Profit Organisation is advantageous and must exhibit a passion for social and mental health advancement in the community.Should be highly organised and self-motivated with excellent multi-tasking skills.Must be able to work under time pressure to achieve established deadlines and be driven to continually improve mental health services to communityMust be an excellent communicator with a good command of the English language both written and verbal.Must be able to work independently and develop the post to ensure the functioning of the APF in a team atmosphere and be cognizant of the importance of this role within the team. Salary & Benefits:Salary range is CI$60,000 to $84,000 per annum and will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
