05May By Alex Panton FoundationPartners News Miss Cayman Islands Universe Mental Health Survey Results The Alex Panton Foundation reached out to the Miss Cayman Islands Universe committee to ask their supporters to complete a “Mental Health and Treatment of Mental Illness in Cayman” survey, created by the 2019 Miss Cayman Islands Universe Contestants and reviewed by APF’s clinical committee. Thank you so much to all who participated in this survey, as this helps us better understand the perspective of Cayman’s youth, as well as the general population when it comes to mental health and treatment of mental illness in Cayman.It is important to note that these results provide only a “snapshot” of views on mental illness from Cayman’s general population. 53 people, aged 25 years and older, completed this survey online via SurveyMonkey, by clicking on a link shared on Facebook. Due to the small sample size, it is important to keep in mind that these results should not be interpreted as a representation of the Cayman Islands population as a whole. 18 people, aged 24 years old and younger, completed this survey online via SurveyMonkey.
